About The Realm of Terror Haunted House
With its gore-splattered actors, team of filmmakers and set designers, and a lead makeup artist and creature designer who has appeared on SYFY's Face Off, it's not surprising that The Realm of Terror Haunted House is consistently rated among the top haunts in Illinois. This year, those brave enough to visit take a tour of Quixotic Labs, a research facility located hundreds of feet below the surface. During their descent, guests learn the horrifying truth—the demented professionals who run the lab have been performing horrifying experiments, and they're looking for new victims.
Brave souls flee from gory room to gory room, encountering more than 50 dedicated horror actors who refuse to break character and often get close enough that visitors can feel hot breath on the back of their necks. Many of the rooms are designed to disorient. Because of the intensity, The Realm of Terror is designed for mature audiences.
While waiting in line to enter the haunted house, guests can sip beverages from an onsite bar, which is stocked with soft drinks and alcohol for visitors of drinking age.
