About The Record Shop

From Bret Michaels to John Legend, nationally renowned musicians often visit The Record Shop when they want to lay down new tracks. But most of this Nashville recording studio's clients are emerging talent seeking the same caliber professional production for their tunes. After discussing each artist’s vision during pre-production meetings, The Record Shop crew can also bring in top session players if needed. Using a mix of analog and digital gear, including Pro Tools HDX, they then mix and master albums to musicians' specifications and not based on what the fortune cookie at lunch instructed.

Along with LPs, The Record Shop also helps with recording demos, drumming overdubs for home recordings, and even live, on-location recordings. The studio’s production unit, meanwhile, meticulously assembles music videos and performances for Balcony TV Nashville, an online program where musicians strum ditties on balconies worldwide.
