Climbing 101 introduces new climbers 14 years and older to the art of belaying and the world of rock climbing with a lesson that focuses on lingo, knot tying, and the skills needed to pass the gym’s belay test. Climbing is a partnered activity so it is best to bring a friend; students take the belay test on their following visit, and those that pass earn belayer certification. All rental gear is included for every visit.
The Climbing Adventure package is good for those of all ages. You will climb our walls for one hour with one of our certified instructors. They will help you reach new heights and climb things you never thought possible. Reservations required.

About The Rock Club
A veritable mountain greets climbers inside The Rock Club, challenging them to scale its 40' high face without speaking a single word. After pulling their eyes away from the main wall, guests discover the gym's other offerings, including 80 climbing stations, more than 200 individual routes, and engaging bouldering walls. Experienced staff members with a passion for climbing roam the gym, eager to help veteran climbers reach new heights, introduce new climbers to the sport during beginners' classes, or describe the scent found at the top of the Shawangunk Ridge. The Rock Club also offers lead climbing and private lessons as well as a kids program with a competitive climbing team, junior programs, and camps.
