Designed for triathletes, long-distance runners, rowers, and other athletes, the endurance classes works to build muscular and cardiovascular endurance with constantly varied workouts two times a week. Regular CrossFit classes meet six days a week, with several slots on weekday evenings and at lunchtime. Check out the full schedule.
Gymnastics. Weightlifting. Metabolic conditioning. These are the fundamental movement categories folded into each CrossFit workout, though together they create a workout that’s not as daunting as it may seem. Gymnastics and moves such as pushups, air squats, and ring dips help students assert control over their bodies, and dead lifts and weighted squats help them to become more powerful. Completing the regimen’s circle, metabolic conditioning hones cardiovascular systems through running, rowing, or jumping.
At VC CrossFit, instructors lead workouts six days a week wherein students practice all these disciplines at a high intensity. Workouts change constantly so students can avoid plateaus that often come with the likes of traditional gym workouts or keeping pace with a stampede of third graders. Open-gym sessions are also available on Sundays, giving members open access to the facilities in a less structured environment.
