Travelodge Inn & Suites by Wyndham Albany

Stay elsewhere Were greeted with a lobby smell that was a combination of urine, mildew and old cigarettes. Front desk lady was not welcoming or friendly. Given card for our room and upon entering the smell of weed was so pungent we couldn’t breathe. Noticed really small toilet and about 5 kleenex that had been shoved into box above toilet. Asked to be changed to a different room which didn’t smell so we were happy. Upon leaving our new room, we overheard some cleaners mocking that the first room was fine and there wasn’t a smell at all, so I pity the next people checking in. Noticed the same thing with the kleenex box of about 5 kleenex placed in box (kind of weird to be handling tissues for guests). Beds were comfy though and slept well minus the roaring AC starting and stopping all night long. Very dingy bathroom and hallway so if looking for fancy, look elsewhere. The first morning I got the last towel from my group and it had stains and a hair clump matted in it. Tried to get clean towels that evening and they didn’t have any so they gave us a few hand towels for the next morning. Area is questionable and had a used needle in the parking lot around our car the 1st morning. Used the side entrance to come and go next to the employee entrance and the smell of weed was nauseating coming from their door. Odd people hanging out in the parking lot made people in our group uncomfortable. Would never stay here again.

Good location....But save your money sleep in your car. This hotel is complete disrepair. Smelled of smoke and marijuana in hallways (Non-smoking facility.) The room smelled like old milk. The bathroom sink was not attached to a drain, so water poured out onto floor. Inside of dresser drawers were pitted up and filthy. Chrome fixtures were pitted with rust. Towels were stained. Buyer beware! Good if you are homeless but not if you are paying.

Absolutely not We ate the cost and booked another hotel instead of staying here. Looks nothing like the pictures. Reeks of weed in the lobby, which is problematic when you’re w/kids. Room was dirty. Staff is nice but place is horrific. If you think you want to stay here, no you don’t.

Great Airport Hotel This is a no frills hotel that is about 10 minutes from the airport that is significantly less expensive than the others. So don't expect frills. The room was clean and quiet. We stayed there primarily because The Boil Shack, a seafood restaurant was easy waling distance. All in all, a great airport hotel when you have an 0 dark 30 flight.

Great Location This has always been our go to hotel when we are in Albany. Currently we are looking to move into the area and have started to come down to look for a place. I have nothing but great things to say about this place! All of the staff we encountered were very friendly and helpful. Our room was clean and had everything we needed for two nights. We found it to be quiet. It snowed one of the mornings we were there and they cleaned up the driveway quickly. I definitely recommend staying here.
