Best Hotel in Charlotte Great location. Front desk girl was very friendly and helpful. Room and the rest of the hotel was clean and the bed was very comfortable. Granted, the tv channel selection was limited, but there were enough choices. Breakfast was the usual fare, but the lady looking over it keep the area spotlessly clean and well stocked. Check out was simple and we didn't run into any snags.

Thanks for making my journey to my Dad's funeral this weekend a miserable experienece. Thanks for making my journey to my Dad's funeral this weekend a miserable experienece. After a long car journey from Atlanta, GA we arrived Friday night around 10 pm exhausted. The next morning after breakfast my brother dropped by with two dogs (we did not bring dogs!) and a cleaning lady in the hall started giving us the dickens because dogs were not allowed in the hotel. Ok, fair mistake: the dogs were imediately removed and we left at 10 am Saturday morning for the funeral. After the day's exhausting schedule we returned around 10 pm only to find that our room was not cleaned and found all our dirty towels in a pile on the bathroom floor. When I asked at the front desk why our room was not refreshed, the person there said, "Beacuase you had dogs: you need to see the manager!" When I asked to see the manager she replied, "He won't be in until tomorrow!" I beggef for anybody to go to our room to verify that we had no dogs in the room, nobody would go to our room because we were guily as charges "you had dogs (dogs that somehow disappeared) and you need to see the manager." This experience made the loss of my father even more painful because of the shoddy experience by these Nazi-like yah-hoos!

Rather Minimalist Confort Inn This seems to be an older property with smaller than usual rooms. There are some other negatives as well. Amazingly, they do not offer a public computer/printer and there is a very small range of TV channels available. On the positive side, I had a very good experience with all the staff, the rooms had new carpeting and the fitness center was functional. I would have given this place a higher rating had they corrected the problems above. Also, at almost $100 with tax is no bargain.

Hot water is needed Hmmm. I usually seek out comfort inn as my brand of choice when traveling to new areas. This one was a little unexpectedly disappointing. I could have forgiven the disinterested countenance of the person checking me in, even the third degree I got at the complimentary coffee pot as I was checking out. I think maybe something's not happy in that work place. But the No Hot Water in the morning shower I cannot get past. Seriously, it's one of the expected essentials. I will skip my brand and try Days Inn next visit.

Clean and comfortable We stayed for one night after a long road day. The room was super clean, bathroom was remodeled, beds were comfortable. Standard continental breakfast with everything we expected. Staff was very friendly. No restaurant or coffee stop around the hotel.
