Growing Pains! This is a renovated Holiday Inn. Marriott has done a very good job renovating this old dinosaur. Still some old frameworks around but some nice touches as well. Large well appointed modern feeling room. Lots of outlets and USB ports. Nice shower head and really cool lighted mirror. Comfortable bed and pillows. But.... Got a free breakfast as Titanium member but staff in kitchen couldn’t make a cup of coffee on the big fancy coffee machine. Took forever to get hot water in the shower. Wiped a spill off the bathroom floor with a washcloth and it came up black. Chewed bubble gum laying on the air conditioner in plain view.

Not going to do that again This hotel was very dirty in common areas (including elevators) and I brought this to management attention and nothing was resolved. The same trash in the elevator the day I checked in was still there 5 days later. The public trash cans in the hotel were always overflowing. The back door of hotel was frequently NOT SECURE even at night. After 5 nights and 3 DIRECT requests to have our room cleaned, it never was. I cleaned my own room, made beds, asked for towels, emptied trash AND FOUND a 2 inch dead cockroach in the corner of bedroom (brought this to the attention of management, was told "sorry.") Also found someone elses USED AND DIRTY washcloth under the bathroom vanity and there were missing lightbulbs in the lamps. The mirrors were dirty. The tub floor was brown (I scrubbed it before use). The floors were not throughly vaccumed and found someone elses paper dinner plate (used) under the chair. IN ADDITION - I had to walk to the Qstop every morning for coffee because the coffee machine was not working and never worked. This was an overpriced, EXTREMELY LOUD and dirty experience. I awoke in the middle of the night to the smell of cigarette smoke in the hallway and it seemed like there was a party on the 5th floor that went on for hours in the middle of the night. I will never stay here again and as a Marriott-only traveler - am very disappointed with this property.

Many negatives looks good until you check out details. Pros - convenient location off Rt. 77, staff very cordial, attached restaurant was good for dinner, room had been updated with new floors, beds (very comfortable), moldings, paint, lights, etc. Cons - behind the updated cosmetics there was bad workmanship - toilet ran continually and could not be shut off and was duct taped around outlet. So asked for another room which had no clock, hair dryer. Neither room had any writing material or desk drawers. New mirrors in both bathrooms were touch operated - a nice feature but the worst insufficient lighting we have ever experienced in a bathroom. No ceiling lighting except in shower!

Not great We stayed at this hotel for a night on the way to myrtle beach. The first room they put us in was not clean. The toilet was full of poop and pee. So when where assigned to another room. This room was nice. The hotel is currently under remodel (2020). Now let me say we have stayed at other Delta owned property and loved them. But this hotel is not up to their standards. The remodel construction is sloppy. There is paint all over the flooring, the ice makers do not work. This just wasn’t a great experience for us.
