Gone to Heck This place has gone to heck and the ownership just quit caring No food or drink service after 4:00 pm No Pepes scuba on site. New group Island Divers look dazed and confused This little shop that sells sun lotion and batteries is closed No coffee cups in the room even though I paid for a fully equipped kitchen Surprise “Tax” upon checking in As a member I’m supposed to get a 15% discount on food and beverages, but that appears to be gone despite a signed contract Member assessments and maintenance fees anytime the resort is short are silly because nothing is being maintained What looked like raw sewage came out of the hot water setting on the tub when I took my first shower. May have been a rusty pipe but either way it was brown and nasty They claim the dock is closed and open only to their captive dive operation, but we know it belongs to the Government of Mexico because of the shut down and rebuild after Wilma. I wish it was not like this. The only ones who seem to care are the long time members who have no choice after paying tens of thousands of dollars to join this Resort I can’t wait to spend my last coupon and start spending my money somewhere nice

Nice place to dive and stay We stayed here for 7 nights via exchange timeshare. We upgraded to a 1 bedroom ocean view for 60 extra a night. The room was nice maid service was okay( forgot our 1 free bottle of water every clean, and I had to ask her when saw her). The pool is open for food and drinks at 10 to 4pm. No anything post that, everything shuts down. We tented a Jeep for a couple of days to get things we needed, for there is no restaurants around to go to close( 1.5 miles). The 1 day we could dive with Island Divers was great! Daniel is the owner and he is awesome to talk to, really nice guy. Saw him at the airport picking up divers while we waited for our friend to show. They also take care of your gear for you!! Great service always with them. We didn't get to dive for almost a week here, weather was horrible and port closed every day! Lucky we stay another week to dive! Overall it is a good place to stay for divers and we enjoyed the week we were there as much as we could due to weather.

Terrible Management / place is going down hill For the record, I had sent an email to the management team and reservation before this review is posted and I have not heard from them and is been over a week. If you are considering making a reservation, think about it twice and read all reviews from people like me that have been there several times. (6 times since 2016) My husband did not wanted to stay there anymore, but I wanted to show my family the beautiful views. There is not a number you can call, they want everything done for Whatsapp messenger.( takes up to 24 hrs to respond, so inconvenient) The staff that works in the lobby, restaurant and bar are adorable, the MANAGEMENT is TERRIBLE!!! They do not care to improve or make things better, they lie to your face, and their “I am sorry “ is not even sincere! The website is not working half of the time, so what you book might not be exactly what you get Me after planing 6 months in advanced for my 8 family members trip/vacation and paying over 4,000.00 for 5 /6 nights. The 47.2% discount that they offer was not existent. (Photo enclosed) After talking to Leonardo in reservations, back and forward for 2 months and me specifically ask for 4 rooms front-ocean view in same floor, well at check in they told me that 2 rooms will be on 6th floor and 2 on 5th floor. I end up running up and down floors, because my mom is 86 yrs old and my uncle 80 and I wanted to take care of their needs. I waisted a lot of time doing that and rooms where not connected. And Leonardo in reservation came out and told me in my face, I am sorry those rooms are not available, they do not exist! Really, DO I LOOK STUID TO YOU ? They end up giving me 5% extra on all my food and beverages but it was not even close make it better, besides that they give those discount to key reward members ( and I am supposed to be one of them) The breakfast included what use to be good, now is fruit, bread and coffee. And is $3.00 more expensive if you pay in advanced with room booking. Seriously is not worth it. If you still thinking about booking your room, ask for the right hand side part of the building, (even if the say is for members, because is sort true I am not a member and this is the first time i stayed in left side. And other people told me they were not members either and they were on newer side )because you will have old couches with Amazon covers, windows in bedroom with out curtains and you will have to use your towels to cover the sun light. (See my picures) But when i complained about it, the management told me that they never had the black out contains. LIARS… they road is even there and I had never had to cover the window myself o had to keep bedroom door closed because is pretty bright at 6:00AM and I would like to sleep in on my vacation! The restaurant has very limited menu now. You can’t even order a club sandwich or a torta. they close at 5:30 PM so you need to have dinner elsewhere. There is no consider anymore! I feel so bad that I had all this plans for my family vacation and it was not what it has been in the past. It was just a terrible last experience at Coral Princes, Many others had same reviews of the same time we were there. Reall shame, since the views are amazing but probably next door hotels next to them will be just fine next time for us. A quien quieren engañar.

Nice quiet hotel Great hotel! We stayed about a week here doing some diving. The dive shop on site at hotel is amazing:) The snorkeling out front of hotel is pretty good too. The room was great, good ac, good showers. We didn’t have a balcony just a Juliet balcony but it was a beautiful view. The hotel is quiet and peaceful, pool and bar is nice. Lots of loungers to sit and relax. Restaurant and bar close at 6pm. It’s a 1/2 hour easy walk to town or $100 MXN pesos taxi to town. You can ask for a mini fridge in your room if they have one available. You have to buy coffee for the machine in room:(

Appears disability/ handicap friendly but not I have a system-wide medical condition. I have been going to this hotel since I was a child (about 20 years) and have fond memories there. There are some truly wonderful staff like Mr. Leonardo (in the restaurant) and Mr. Heme (concergie). I was hesitant to post this because the hotel will certainly know who I am. But this visit was not great for the following reasons: 1. We got stuck in the elevator for about 15 minutes. Not only were we stuck in the mini elevator, but it was falling down floors. We banged and screamed for help in Spanish until they came and pried the doors open. Once out, I had to ask 3 times (one in person and 2 calls) for them to put out-of-service signs on the elevator doors so it wouldn't happen again. I believe they finally put the sign out 30-45 minutes after we were helped out. The next day, the sign was gone. Needless to say, I took the stairs (to the 7th floor) for the rest of the trip. Was hard on the knees. After asking many times, the next day the manager did come and apologize that we got stuck in the elevator. 2. The bottled water is 150 pesos which is about 10 dollars. For context, larger bottles of water sell for 12 pesos (less than a dollar at the grocery store). I always buy my water at the grocery store, but I got traveler's diarrhea and needed water. The hotel doesn't have safe drinking tap water. I feel like this price is pretty intense given that. 3. The tap water is not safe. I got intense traveler's diarrhea and needed serious antibiotics. I was since 4 out of 7 days. According to the Johns Hopkins website for travelers diaherra, you can't wash your face or hands or dishes in non-potable water. This means that to wash your hands or face or dishes, you would need to use bottled water every time. That's pretty hard to do. It was less than ideal as I am immunocompromised. 4. Someone fell while I was staying there when a chair broke underneath them. The worker came over and said that it was because he weighed too much. After some time they removed the chair. The metal pole/ base almost hit my dad in the head when it broke. It was one of those hanging egg chairs. 5. I think I got travelers diaherra from drinking a Mojito (fresh mint) from the bar. I don't know for certain, but that's what I suspect. Now you might be wondering, why did I take the time to write this? According to the CDC, about 50 percent of Americans have at least 1 chronic condition. That's 1 out of 2 people. This hotel has always been reccommended as handicap/ disability friendly due to the flat paths and elevators and thought it was important to share this experience. Happy travels!
