Love the brunch One of the best brunch in Delray Beach.Great atmosphere. Highly recommended. The location is great. Get a table outside if you can (and is not too hot). Outside is so peaceful, and since you are there check all the plants.

Brunch If you are looking for a disappointing, frustrating and unprofessional place to share a memory Sundy House is it. When my family and I arrived to celebrate my grandchild's birthday, I was told that even though I made a reservation 3 weeks in advance nothing was certain, only the fact that we have a reservation. Upon arriving 1/2 hour early they refused to seat us outside and insisted we eat in their barn alone and unclean. There was no reasoning and even thou we spoke to a manager who was very rude, and pointed out that there was outside seating available, we were told that inside was all we have. After numerous conversations (more than 30 minutes), we finally were seated outside. It took 1 3/4 hours for our meal to be served. It was a disappointing adventure. I am sure I will not be back, and just wanted to alert you if you are planning an event think again. Not child-friendly Ultra Rude Management · · Slow service

Strange place We arrived a minute or 2 late for our 7 reservation, which was confirmed same day, but nonetheless seemed to confuse the check in staff. They consulted an online system and then reverted to a crumbled hard copy that showed a table for 2. This was in front of a wait staff critical area creating a lot of traffic. Wait staff service was efficient, food mediocre, not their fault. Trouble continued with picking up our valet since I was not given a receipt. My fault. I identified the car a short distance away, we retrieved and we were outa there. Basically a food factory complicated when they also have a wedding.

Don’t stay here Room was very moist/humid. All clothing moist just from being in the room. Had to wash everything, even what we didn’t wear, once we got home. No hot water in our shower. We told them and they did nothing until we returned and asked again. Then they gave us keys to another room, right below us, that I KID YOU NOT, an AC guy was in there working on the unit! Sooooo no hot water or no AC??? Decisions decisions….We only saw one other car and one other person staying there. We were there on weekday nights. The only room they had to offer us as a replacement had issues too? Really??? Anyway, I’m addition, I think the place could be or rather was, really cool. The jungle like exterior atmosphere, although it needed some attention, was unique. They have a restaurant on site (we didn’t eat there) with tables all throughout the gardens. While we were there, trash, old linens, utensils, glasses, pieces of food, etc. etc. where left out on and around the tables. So, while walking the winding paths to our room, we passed all of that loveliness. I don’t know what’s going on there, if they are experiencing MAJOR staffing issues or new management or what….we will not return. There are plenty of other options in Delray.

"Lovely Property, Spotty Services & Attention to Detailsept " We checked in on the Saturday before Independence Day and I'd made reservations for dinner that night, having specified we wanted indoor seating, given the muggy July heat and recent rains. I reiterated that to the front desk clerk when we checked in. First thing we noticed in our beautiful Tamarind Room, was there were several light bulbs that were out, which kept us from noticing the floor weren't swept very clean. The staffer who took us to the room told me housekeeping was gone for the day, but she'd tell someone to replace them, especially one over the bathroom sink which made it shadowy, and one in the closet, so we could see the safe touch pad. No one ever came to take care of that in the 2 nights we spent there. Sunday morning, we slept in, having been to 2 clubs late the night before. There's no "do not disturb" sign to hang on the doorknob, so there was no way for them to know we were just getting up. I heard the door beep and in walked a housekeeping lady! She backed out and said she'd come back later. I told her she really should knock before just coming in. We left the room a while later, and I noticed the housekeeping cart was below our floor. close to our room. Just to make sure, I reminded the staffer who'd taken us to our room the previous day, that they could make up the room now. We got back from dinner at 9:30 and no one had come in to do anything. They'd left a green laundry duffel with fresh towels, before the lady had barged in. We ended up checking out Monday morning, having to use the fresh towels they'd left on the folding luggage rack, since the towels take very long to dry out in the room, even with the AC running. On the positive side, this is a beautiful property, the rooms, gardens, walkway, fountains, pools with Coi, etc. It has several sizes of gazebos and most have overhead fans. The ideal time to visit is not in the dead of FL summer, cooler weather will make for a much more enjoyable outdoor experience. The 4-poster king bed was very comfy. The bathroom was spacious, it could have used a small shelf to put toiletries near the small pedestal sink. There was good water pressure and reasonably hot water, the shower diverter was a bit funky to operate, but it worked. My impression of Sundy House, based on our experience, is that their big money maker and priority is the dining, lodging not getting too much attention. They have plenty of free parking and the location is prime for getting to all the places and activities on nearby Atlantic Ave. I'll post a separate review of their Taru restaurant later.
