Awesome hotel 2 blocks from Comerica Park and Ford Field Awesome stay 2 blocks from Comerica park. Valet parked my brand new truck with a nice young man. Every employee was so nice. We went to Comerica Park to see Tigers vs Guardians. 2 blocks from an entrance. We felt safe walking around, but there were some aggressive panhandlers and a Jesus freak with a bullhorn, near Comerica main entrance. We checked out Eminem’s Mom’s Spaghetti and Union Assembly, but ended up eating in the ballpark. Hotel has a restaurant, but we used our Gold member status credit at the pantry. We will definitely stay here if we ever come back to Detroit.

Great Management and Staff Stayed here on 7/16, there was an old diesel bus idling outside the hotel that was sending fumes into our room, alerted manager and she immediately switched our room, definitely handled the situation like a pro! Everyone we dealt with on all shifts were very friendly knowledgeable and helpful made our stay very pleasant. Great location, great staff from top to bottom!

Better options in the beautiful city of Detroit In my opinion this hotel management only wants to make cash, no hospitality spirit. First they have only Valet for USD 49.-…hello? you will get for 8.- in the neighbourhood parking for a day and it is safe! Avoid there Valet-Service! I booked breakfast rate, normally as a Garden Inn Standard, you can order eggs, omelettes etc. Here not, you will get only scrambled eggs, which are dry and awful old… This is the breakfast service with your paid breakfast rate. I ordered eggs sunny side up. The only friendly server meant, you have to pay that extra, or if I agree, he will make the eggs, then it is free (what???) Room was not really clean in my opinion, furniture is not fresh…Please dear management go out of the channel, you are on a level of a red roof 1star hotel with a waldorf Valetparking price. We, the Lifetime diamond level customers want no more bad services like you have. It‘s all about management and in my opinion this management team is nominated for the worldwide most bad Garden Inn team. And your breakfast rate with this breakfast buffet is only a joke and not Garden Inn standard. At this time we were in the town, you got for the same rate the Element by Westin with breakfast one block away…

Perfect Place to Stay for a Detroit Sports Fan This hotel is extremely well run. The staff is knowledgeable, efficient and very conscientious. The room was clean and well apportioned. However, room was a bit dark in certain areas, but it was spacious and had no mechanical or electrical issues. Keep in mind that this hotel is an urban areas, as result you will hear noise that is typical for a large city. You are within walking distance for many good places to dine and attractions downtown. The hotel lobby is dated and warn. It needs an update. It was still very clean and spacious. This is a perfect location to stay if you plan to attend any Detroit sporting events. You are a 5-10 minute walk from Comerica Park and Ford Field and 10-15 minute walk to the ice/basketball area. We enjoyed our stay and would stay there the next time we are in Detroit.

Charged for more than 1 night The actual stay was fine. However when checking out they wrote my room number on a piece of paper. When I looked back at my bank statement and receipt, they charged me for 2 nights instead of 1 night. I waited for it to clear before calling them. When I called them they said they would refund me for 1 night. They ended up charging me for another night! I now have 3 night's stay when I only stayed one night. I called them back 2 days later and they never answered their phones.
