Comfort Inn & Suites Dover-Portsmouth

prob wouldn't come back Check in was very easy and quick, we we're disappointed to find our room was on the 1st floor right next to the stairs. The parking lot was barely full when we were there i'm not sure why they placed us at such a terrible spot. All day and night the stairs door would bang shut. Our door had pink either nail polish or paint, and inside the room it was all over the carpet. We were put in a handicap room which we did not request, so the shower wasn't ideal. The pool was nice and clean luckily we were the only ones swimming because there werent very many chairs. I called the front desk before bed requesting more pillows and was told I had to go to the front desk to get them. In the many many many hotels we have stayed at ive never had to fetch my own bedding... that seemed very weird to me. Breakfast was good but not a lot of options to choose from. The ceiling in the room is very high so its very echoy not ideal with children who don't know what a inside voice is. The room also had a weird smell.

Unsafe!! We had a terrible experience. We reported to the night desk staff that our room door was found propped open after we left for dinner, when the door had been closed. Our room was entered without our permission and the staff was unable to confirm if housekeeping had entered the room. The staff claimed he could not view the multiple cameras to confirm/deny who had entered the room. We requested to speak with a manager and are currently waiting for them to arrive. Desk staff was not concerned at all that we felt unsafe! Entire hotel hallways/common areas reek of cigarette smoke! Disgusted and horrified that this hotel feels this is acceptable!

"10 stars" We ended up staying longer than most people, which is considered a extended stay. I dont even think this place is a extended stay place but they accommodated us anyway and I was very appreciative of it. The staff were all so amazing. Everyone was beyond friendly. Its like that saying "come as friends leave as family " the rooms were great! Plenty big enough for all us and we had three adults and two children. Beds were by far one of the most comfortable beds I've ever slept in. The pillows were like clouds. Maid service was amazing. One time I had left a couple dishes in the sink and even that was done when I got back. The breakfast was always great. The woman who does breakfast was so nice I made a true friend. She worked her butt off every morning always with a smile on her face. Every day was something different made. If you ask me there was a huge variety. Most recommended is the mini muffins, I think I gained 20lbs from them. It was always pleasant starting my day off seeing her. Coffee was always on anytime of day or night which was great for me because I love my coffee. They have a snack closet that has a good variety. I couldn't have asked for a better stay and I'm so humbled with everything there. I will definitely be missing it there and everyone there too. I can not thank them enough for everything. Even my kids loved it, the pool was always great, clean, waitting to greet them all day. It was always open until 10 PM they thought that was the bee's knees. And that worked for me because it would tire them out for bed. I would recommend this place to everyone an that's what ill do. If I could have gave them 10 stars I would have.

Fantastic customer service experience, great hotel, great rates I was traveling with my son to visit colleges, and made a reservation on the fly, on my phone from the car. I inadvertently made it for the wrong night, was charged as a no-show. When we arrived on the night we needed, we had no reservation. The staff had 2 rooms left, made one suite available at the original rate we booked (we mistakenly booked a weeknight standard room and stayed in a suite on the weekend that should have been much higher). The manager of the property was extremely gracious and offered a complete refund with no questions or "corporate hassles". And not only that, the stay was great, the room clean and breakfast was perfect. All front desk staff were very understanding and helpful for what could have been a stressful and disastrous college tour experience. Thank You Comfort Inn Dover!
