Comfort Inn Duncansville - Altoona

Business in Altoona This was my second visit to Comfort Inn Duncanville. The rooms are outstanding. The staff is friendly and helpful. Two restaurants are within walking distance and you are close to downtown Altoona. Sleep quality is good! The rooms are very clean.

CLEAN HOTEL! This area is a business trip for us. While attending the meetings at the convention center we always stay at this hotel. It is clean, I mean CLEAN. The hotel staff are kind and there is breakfast available in the morning. The bathrooms are spotless.

Frozen in Altoona! We were there for a food show at the convention center. The hotel is immaculate. Employees - wonderful, the breakfast is nice. So what's my gripe. Each room is monitored for movement...yep, movement. If no one is moving about the heat shuts down. YES>>>the heat shuts down. I woke up at 5:00 a.m. freezing...saw the heat was off and called the front desk...I was informed that this is the policy of the corporation to save money on fuel costs??? There was nothing the front desk could do to override the system. I got so cold that to this day, don't laugh, I can't get warm. Who in their right mind would institute such a policy. While I can see this happening in an unoccupied room but not in an occupied room. NOT a HAPPY camper. I was told to move about in the room and the heat will eventually come on!

VERY NICE STAY I choses this Comfort Inn while exploring the Railroad History of Horseshoe Curve and Altoona in general. This hotel is located very close to both and allowed me maximize my time while in the area. I made my reservations using the choice website and check-in was very quick. Upon arrival I was immediately greeted by a very nice front desk employee who recognized me as a Choice Privilege Member and made me feel welcome. My room was very clean and well attended. The bed comfortable however I do not care for the small pillows used at most choice properties. The WiFi was strong and worked well throughout my entire stay. There is plenty of parking for all size vehicles in the large well it parking area. There are a couple of restaurants within walking distance of this hotel and you can find any type of restaurant from fast food to chain restaurants close by. I am not sure what Pennsylvania COVID Requirements were during my time here but this Hotel does require guest and employees to wear face masks when in common areas of the building and frequent touch areas are routinely cleaned. It appears that the management of this hotel is taking all the necessary precautions to ensure the safety of their employees and guests. All of the employees are very friendly and professional and go the extra mile to ensure you have a good stay. Overall my stay was really nice and I would stay here again if I find myself in the Altoona Area.

Business trip The hotel provided adequate overnight facility. No one at front desk when I arrived at around 9 p.m. I had to wait for about 15 minutes. Close to various highways and restaurants and gas stations. Adequate breakfast offerings.
