Very Best Included Breakfast While in Dunedin, we stayed at the Holiday Inn Express. This hotel is family owned and had the very best included breakfast of any hotel where we have ever stayed. Our room was just fine and we found the staff extremely friendly and helpful. Recommended.

Exceeded well beyond our expectations ! My wife Jane and I have stayed here for the past week. We were so impressed with : 1) the culture of this organization as exhibited by the friendly, caring professional services by each and every staff person. Sarah and the balance of front desk staff are so welcoming and supportive of the guests. They are ' can do ' kinds of people. Nothing seemed too big of an ' ask ' . 2) the housekeeping staff are so gracious and are happy to work around schedules and the needs of the hotel guests, if at all possible. 3) We were most impressed by not only the quality and variety of the breakfast choices which, by the way, rotated daily. Most of all, both Penny and Angela make you feel that they are preparing, cooking and serving you in their own personal homes. Suffice it to say, we are returning next year. From top to bottom, our expectations were exceeded due to this long standing culture. Those working there understand the concept and added value of delivering friendly, professional care to all their guests !!! John & Jane b.

This hotel should be a training facility on customer service We just returned from a trip to the Clearwater area. The first two nights we stayed at the Holiday Inn in Dunedin. Of all my years of travel, this hotel provided the best customer service experience of ANY hotel we've ever stayed at. Everyone we talked with was kind, friendly, and willing to help. Many times when you go to a hotel, you can feel the stress of the staff, and/or it can feel like you are inconveniencing them as customer service seems to be a thing of the past at many establishments. This hotel was different. Not one staff member just walked by without a smile and a hello. They offer a free breakfast and there was a lady there with a single colored braid and a smile willing to get drinks or other items from the breakfast buffet. The only downsides of this hotel are that the pool is smaller and it's not ocean side (can't see the ocean from the hotel). However, their customer service is above and beyond, and worth the stay. It's a great location where you can walk to the quaint little town of Dunedin. We will stay here again.

Outdated and overrated Overall place is extremely dated and pool/hot tub area not functioning.When inquiring about no apologies were given. Room appearance is cold and stark Furniture is old and mismatched Bedding worn & flimsy.A thin cotton blanket is provided.When asked for another it took two days to bring another blanket Bathroom is straight out of a dated roadside motel. Window coverage consist of plantation blinds only .The blinds are not capable of shutting out the parking lot lights at night.Our first floor room consisted of bedroom area and a a dressing area and entrance into the bathroom separated by a wall. The dressing/ bathroom area consistently had a low grade smell of raw sewage. Through the nite the kitcnette sink gurgled and belched. The patio area immediately in front of our room on the parking lot was lacking landscape .We stepped off our patio into nothing but dirt and exposed irrigation tubing(tripping hazard?)

We stay at this hotel often As Diamond Elite members, we stay at many hotels across the country. With a great location in a quiet area convenient to many attractions, this is one of our favorite hotels in the Tampa Bay area. The traditional furniture and beach decor on the walls and in the lobby add to our relaxation. The rooms are comfortable with nice hot water in the shower. The best thing about this hotel is the wonderful employees; everyone we encountered was super nice and sincerely interested in helping us have a pleasant stay. The breakfast attendants were especially personable and attentive as they offered a wide variety of food. The friendly front desk employees interacted well and told us about the local events in the quaint area surrounding the hotel. We enjoyed walking to several charming local restaurants and stores that are all locally owned and not chains. We also enjoyed walking on the bike/walking trail next to the hotel and discovering a public pier on the Gulf at a local park on the trail. Since a family member lives 10 minutes away, we will definitely be back often!
