Relaxing and beautiful. The hotel building is beautiful! Staff are very friendly and seem to genuinely enjoy their job (without asking for a tip which was unusual for our experience in Morocco). Rooms are fine - comfortable bed, good bathroom, and quiet. Pool area is lovely - perfect for relaxing. Not sure why people are not rating this place higher.

Disappointed Our experience was just fair. Service not good, food was okay, the room was smalland, with an old furniture and dirty... this hotel should be a 2 stars hotel and not 4*. I don't recommend this hotel at all.

Relaxing quiet clean and comfortable. Great value. We got a great deal on this four star via lastminute.com, so this has bearing on our value for money assessment. If we had paid full whack I think I would have expected a bit more. However the design and layout is a harmonious marriage of modern concrete with traditional Islamic principles. The room service was excellent and the birds flitting about the magnificent breakfast hall were an eccentric delight. Everthing in the en suite worked including shower and bath, and the electric fire was cosy on some chilly nights. We asked for extra pillows. No trouble at all. Some minor niggles...It was a shame the pool wasn't slightly heated. I managed it once and i'm sure that's not a problem in summer. The only thing I would criticise is the reception: it seemed things like bottled water, money change and an umbrella were too much trouble. Not that they didn't try to help, but whatever you asked for seemed to have to involve 2 or 3 others and didn't always have a satisfactory outcome. Breakfast was very basic, but what was there was good quality (think continental). These are all minor niggles really and we could not fault the value for money we got paying around £200 for a week's double. Didn't try the sauna or spa & fitness facilities but we did inspect and they looked fine. We also enjoyed the lovely walk along the beach each day to reach the old city as 5 his hotel is a couple of clicks south of the medina. There is a very handy carrefour nearby too - we didn't eat here in the evening. One word of advice to th hotel: find some less mind-numbing musk!

Nice relaxed 10 days, great holiday. We were very pleased with the hotel our room and and the service provided by the staff whilst on a last minute break to Morocco. It's the second time we have been to Essaouira and this was by far the better Hotel we have used. The room was cleaned every day, with new towels and the beds freshly made. The staff were very friendly and the food was very good. We had intended to go out more for meals but to be honest didn't need feel the need to. The hotel is a fairly long walk from the Medina but taxis are inexpensive if needed. We were here to kitesurf so the hotel is ideally located at the best end of the bay. We had WIFI in our room (not sure if this is all rooms) as well as in the main reception and dining areas.
