Worth a stay and close to the cruise port My wife and I stayed there the night before our cruise. The hotel was older, however, in very good condition and very clean. The room was in good condition and also very clean. The free breakfast was unusually good and with a very good variety. They even had copious amounts of bacon on the breakfast bar. It is within one half of a mile of the cruise port and plenty of restaurants and other stores nearby. No free shuttle service to the port, but a small fee one is available. We’d recommend it.

2024 - Hyatt Place Fort Lauderdale Cruise Port & Convention Center Pros: Overall, a good location, large rooms, friendly staff, good breakfast options. Improvements: Bathroom is small, bed in queen room is TOO close to the AC system (freezing), lighting could be a bit better

Near Publix, watch for price gouging! Hotel is average. We stay here before a cruise as we like the Publix within walking distance and several restaurants. Hotel is looking shabby and needs redoing but rooms are clean. The pool and free breakfast are nice. Also, like the transportation to port(fee). We have stayed here about 4 times. What we don’t like is the price gouging! We usually pay about $170 a night. When there is an event they raise price significantly. In October, Taylor Swift is in MIAMI and their prices are averaging $375 - 450 a night, which is way more than this place is worth. We are staying at a popular hotel that does not gouge their customers in October.

Skip This One I should have known this place would've been horrible from the moment we stepped into the lobby. It was small, dark, dreary, and dated. The room was horrible, with sheets with holes and duvets with zero filling. The bathroom was TINY, with the sink in the main area, so if you used the toilet in the middle of the night, you'd either have to wash your hands in the dark or turn on the lights and wake up the other people in the room. The toilet water was yellowish green. The tub had mold. The hallways smelled moldy. The pool area was small and dated. The pavers were cracked and some were missing. The breakfast was mediocre, at best; however, the dinner from The Placery wasn't bad. All in all, definitely not what we were expecting from a Hyatt property. We won't be going back.

Great Place with exceptional staff We were only in town for a short time, but the staff went out of their way to make sure we felt valued and took time to make sure all of our needs were taken care of. The hotel was in great shape and everything was in great shape. We have stayed in 4 hotels over the last month, including two 5-star hotels. This hotel exceeded the experience of all of those stays.
