Nice spa afternoon We visited here for the day for the spa. There must have been less than 10 of us there so not crowded and we managed to spend time in sauna, steam room and outdoor hot tub whenever we wanted. We have been before and it was much busier which meant at times you had to wait a bit. We did the mud rasul treatment, very relaxing! Afternoon tea was also really nice. Staff all friendly and helpful!

Amelia was a little superstar, service with a smile _ Very, very busy but beautiful sat outside in the sunshine on the terrace, absolutely stunning. Food was a bit dry but that was due to the heat I think. Amelia was so professional and helpful. She was rushed off her feet due to staff shortages, she defo needed help but did everything herself with a smile. We got that, however some of the guests weren’t as understanding, there are some very spoiled, demanding ladies out there, just plain rude if you ask me. Value for money but need more staff at busy periods. Well done Amelia for making our afternoon tea amazing! __

Excellent service Over the years we have used Gomersal Park Hotel for multiple functions and I can’t fault them in anyway. All the staff are always so accommodating & welcoming and nothing is too much trouble for them. Jemma is a one in a million. She stops at nothing to ensure your function goes as smoothly as possible and will go that extra mile every single time. I can’t thank her enough for everything she has done for all of our functions and no doubt our functions too.

Sadly not the best Spa experience, lacking general maintenance & staffing. Sadly not the best Spa experience. Communication is also poor at Gomersal Spa & Hotel, as i am still waiting to get an email response regarding the issues listed below. I visited on 21st April 2025, where I attended with a friend for the Afternoon Spa Retreat package (£109 per person). We had been looking forward to a relaxing and luxurious experience, However, the day sadly fell short of expectations and left us quite disappointed due to several issues. I would like to note that the staff we did interact with were friendly and welcoming, the overall experience just felt disjointed, and at times it seemed that the spa was short-staffed, which had an impact on the smooth running of the day. Some of the key concerns were: 1. Upon arrival, we struggled to find the spa entrance due to poor signage. After waiting over five minutes at the hotel reception desk (ringing the bell several times with no response), we eventually found the spa ourselves. This created a confusing start to the day. When we arrived, we were offered a hot or non-alcoholic beverage, but there was no mention of the alcoholic drink included in our package. We had to specifically ask, and it remained unclear whether this would incur an extra charge. Several other guests also seemed unsure. Better communication at the point of booking and on arrival would really help to set the right tone. 2. The day before our visit, we were contacted and informed that robes would may not be available and we should bring our own or reschedule for another day. Whilst we appreciated the notice, no goodwill gesture was offered, which was disappointing given the cost and expectation of the day. 3. While the Jacuzzi was available, the jets were unfortunately not working, and there was a missing tile near the steps into the Jacuzzi. This wasn’t mentioned to us beforehand and detracted from our experience. Staff gave differing accounts about how long this had been an issue (a few months / a new issue), which added to the confusion. 4. The women’s changing facilities were not to the standard expected. Several lockers were broken, only one hairdryer was working, and there were no basic amenities such as shampoo, conditioner, or lotions provided. Additionally, there was no swimsuit drying facility, which is normally a standard in most spa changing rooms. These details are small but a helpful feature which made the area feel quite neglected. We were also not properly shown around the spa; we were just pointed towards the facilities rather than given a proper introduction, which would have made us feel more welcome. 5. Later in the afternoon (around 4:30) , two young children entered the pool with their father. Although they were very well behaved, we had expected an adults-only environment in line with your advertised minimum age policy for spa guests. 6. There was inconsistency in the treatments. Although we both booked full body scrubs for 2:30pm, we were not taken in at the same time, leading to one of us having to wait. Additionally, my friend's treatment included a head and foot massage element, whereas mine did not. A little more consistency would have made a big difference. 7. At times it was difficult to find staff when we needed assistance, particularly when ordering drinks or asking questions. It did feel as though the spa was under-staffed that day, which understandably could have contributed to some of these issues. 8. Water cups were left around the spa with minimal evidence of regular cleaning or tidying. A lack of bins further encouraged this clutter, affecting the overall cleanliness and atmosphere. 9. The door leading to the spa area from the pool was out of order, meaning guests had to walk through reception area to access the other facilities, which disrupted the flow and atmosphere slightly. Given the relatively small size of the spa, we were surprised that the overall maintenance and attention to detail were not better. The spa itself, while having lots of potential, appeared a little tired and would benefit from some investment to bring it up to the standard expected for the price point.
