HOTEL BON SOL

Beautiful hotel This hotel, surroundings, staff, fascilities is beyond everything else. It is a beautiful hotel, with the most adorable garden. Many swimmingpools, and ares to use, and you can find your spot as an adult or a child. With activities and energy,- to relaxed and guietness. Several dining areas, with superb food. Lots of activities like yoga, squash, tennis, spa, fitness etc. Club for the children. The staff is always doing the best, from resepsjon until the spa and massage. Just go!

Food and service make this place Our first visit. We are a family of five and had 2 Junior suites in the main hotel over looking the sea and beach villas. The hotel kindly booked. 2 adjoining rooms which had a front door so we could leave each bedroom door open when together which was great. There was no welcome gift or drink in the room which we have grown used to over the years at different hotels but we were given a voucher for a cocktail which was lovely. There was a kettle but i would have preferred a coffee machine (e.g Nespresso), again pretty standard in most hotels in this price range and type. On arrival, I really wasn’t sure, mainly because of the suites- they were small, a very badly designed bathroom layout and having a third bed in one of the rooms made it seem cramped. If I were to return I would book a larger suite if one was available. Other than the room I cannot fault this hotel. The food and service was beyond 5 stars, absolutely incredible! We had full board which was a real treat and not something we usually do, but we were glad not to have to walk around the hilly area in such extreme heat. Other than the food my favourite part was the beach area and we managed to get a sun-bed overlooking the sea. Whilst the sea bed is rocky and somewhat a pain to get in (take Crocs or swim shoes) the deep warm water was a pleasure and I almost only swam in the sea rather than the pool. The hotel seem to think of everything and provided all floats for the sea free of charge, there was a great shower and changing area at the beachfront too. The sun comes over at midday and the heat became unbearable so we moved to the shallow pool area which was shaded and very quiet, a real treat to have so many pools to choose from. We found the main hotel pool on the last day and we had it to ourselves, something we didn’t expect in such a busy period. We did take the no 4 bus to Palma which was very easy, the bus does get very busy, expect to stand if you are able to. We found the hotel really easy to navigate and were fine within an hour of arrival to find everything. We ate breakfast and lunch in the beach restaurant but had dinner in the main hotel, this is amazing and exceeded our expectations! 5 courses of utterly fabulous food. The music was just lovely: a Pianist and Double Bass duo. Really can’t praise this enough- staff and food were just beyond 5 stars and nothing was too much trouble. The staff and family owners make this hotel. I cannot wait to return at some point in the future.

Superb hotel The hotel was superb. It is a fascinating design involving tunnels (naturally lit!) to access the small beach area. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable and breakfast was excellent as was the bar service. We had chosen a B&B package as we wanted to eat out in the evenings and the local amenities/restaurants were of a good standard. There are a lot of different activities to try if that is your desire plus a number of pools and sunbeds in different areas. Palma is a 30 minute bus ride away and taxis are also available. This is a family run hotel (despite its size) and it seemed that members of the family were often visible making sure that everything was just right for guests. This kind of attention to detail made for a genuinely lovely holiday.

Just a fabulous spot Currently staying here in Bon Sol. Reading the reviews before I travelled and I was thinking it can’t be that good … well I can say for sure it has exceeded my expectations so far. Checking in was stress free. Everyone was so friendly. My double room is spacious and with a side view. I have booked half board. Breakfast is a varied buffet. The pool area is on a few levels. I had no issue getting a bed. Beds are very comfortable. The lunch buffet is in close proximity to the pool area - food was of a good quality. Food in general here is excellent. I have had dinner two nights in the restaurant in the reception building - a real treat. Staff are so lovely here and the accompanying music makes an occasion of it all. I actually regret not booking full board. I recommend the red wine and cocktails!! It’s the staff here that makes Bon Sol a place that stand outs as hotel to stay in Majorca. To a person they are all so friendly and welcoming. This is actually my 8th trip to Majorca and going forward there’s only place I will be booking - the Bon Sol - it’s been a real find.

Improved on perfection 30 plus stays and it just gets better every time. I have to strongly disagree that the website is misleading. If you like soulless, sterile, marble hotels this may not be for you but the decor is far from strange and the amazing food is cooked by an amazing team of chefs. Additions this year include hot and cold water stations on each floor. I’ve visited with all age groups and even parents in a wheelchair. The corridor and lift system is part of the charm, no need to cross roads and you wouldn’t even know they were there. A charming chapel is in one corridor and lifts take you to the spa, gym, squash courts and cove/beach (which is private) Family run and the next generation are now taking the strain - attention to detail like nowhere else I’ve been - just ask and your request is fulfilled. Read the reviews - most of us return again and again and that says it all.
