Holiday Inn Express Hotel and Suites Kinston by IHG

Nope THIS location is the reason I will never give money to any IHG ran property again. Since I have yet to receive any response from the treatment we received here (after promising me a return call.) Whatever you do, do not ask for a simple apology. Trust me, you won't get it. IHG lost a customer with the management at this one.

This is What Real Customer Service Looks Like I travel on business a lot, so I know how hotels, airlines, and restaurants typically operate. However, from the time I walked into the IHG Holiday Inn Express - Kinston things were different. Friendly and efficient from the start. The room was everything I'd expect. But then, the team really stepped up and showed their true professionalism. When getting a cup of coffee and checking out, I set my travel bag down and walked out without it. An hours and a half later, I get a phone call from Sandy, a representative at the hotel, informing me of my mistake. Since I was headed to another appointment, she gladly agreed to ship my bag to me. Throughout the day she provided updates and then I received a call from the manager, TD stating that the bag was enroute and at no cost to me. True to his word, the next morning, my bag arrived at my home. Perhaps to some, this is a little thing, but from start to finish these professionals made sure I was appreciated as a customer and went above and beyond to take care of me. These folk are great ambassadors and representatives of the IHG brand.

Best hotel I have been at recently... Try it you will like it! This is without a doubt one of the best hotels I have stayed at in a while. All of the staff from the top down are exceptional with the level of customer service they provide. Best bed I have slept in during my coast to coast journey back to NC. The newer Manager TD Barrett is phenomenal. Cleanliness is A+. The hot breakfast is also really filling and offers quite the variety. Best rate for this level of hotel in Kinston and the surrounding areas.

Great visit with family I would give this a 4.25 rating. The location is ideal with access to stores, food, restaurants and gas. We come here atleast once a year to visit with family. The beds are very comfortable with firm and soft pillows for you to choose from. The breakfast is one of the best we have experienced for continental breakfasts (omelets with cheese was #1). They offer a variety for many dietary needs. The place was clean and the staff was very friendly and helpful.

Musty dusty, and too warm..... Visitor center employee suggested this place. We arrived assisted by Jasmine. She was very helpful 1st room was on 2nd floor. It was very hot we turned air temp to 72 it was not cooling. We removed filters on AC unit ,it looked like the lint trap from dryer, full of dust and dirt. Jasmine moved us to 1st floor it was much cooler but toilet was not clean. I requested clorax spray and she also gave me gloves to clean toilet. after cleaning bathroom we showered and spent 1 night. In AM desk clerk asked how our stay was I reported events of previous check in and requested receipt. We then left. We will not stay there again.
