Ownership change Restaurant & Bar closed The rest of the story...a complex of buildings with plenty of deferred maintenance but close to the ocean...tough on buildings. if you make a reservation within 7 days and cancel you are subject to a one night charge ($250 in my case). After you make the reservation an e-mail advises there are no TV’s in any rooms as the system is being revised, the bar and restaurant are closed, and of course no maid service for multiple nights stays. And don’t stay a minute after the checkout time or you will be charged $50 an hour. To top it off at the bottom of the e-mail is a Zagat Review citing “..hotel restaurant and a California menu that is right on the mark.” New ownership and covid are common culptrits. Once you actually get there the place is fine with excellent wi-fi, fridge and coffee maker in the room however no microwave and ice only fron the front desk.

Delightful Quaint Hotel We stopped by this motel on a whim and really enjoyed the atmosphere. The rooms are small, but not unexpectedly so for a 19th century property. We got a room with a private bath: Completely comfortably and adequate.

This HOTEL is NOTHING like what they claim to be!!! This Hotel is nothing they claim it to be. I have no problem sharing a community restroom and having to walk down the hall to shower or use the restroom. We have traveled enough in Europe to know this is a norm outside of the USA. However, we supposedly got a room with a garden view and it turned out to be a room just big enough for a double bed and not much else except our luggage. Oh, and the Garden view was a view of the walking path of the roof and the view of the wall just 24 inches from our window and it would take nothing to have someone walk right into the room through the non-locked window. No ventilation or fan to move air. The room couldn't have been 9' x 12' big. The door did not totally shut without the deadbolt, which cannot be locked unless you are inside the room, so your stuff IS NOT SECURE!!! The Dining and bar have closed and NO Television in the rooms, and the room photos if they even exist sure as heck are not anywhere near where they stuck us. The wannabe middle-aged hipster that thinks he is pulling off the porkpie hat and skinny jeans was no help even with the assistance of his black-haired bearded buddy behind the counter drinking beer who just came from the bar next door. All of this nothing and being crammed in like 2 sardines for $150 a night. Be careful what your reservation is for and even then you may not get what you are expecting.
