Better places in the area This place is dated and gross. I would not recommend staying here if you can avoid it. There are scratch marks in the headboard. Very dated. Doesn’t have the same clean and bright feel as other holiday inn express. Only positive is the staff are very nice.

Quite gross... I honestly do not understand this hotel's 4-star rating on TripAdvisor. The Holiday Inn & Suites Mississauga Meadowvale hotel is severely lacking in upkeep and cleanliness. Upon check-in, we immediately asked for a new room as our room had an overpowering cigarette smoke odor. Our new room was better but still had a dingy smell. The bathrooms had a moldy/mildew smell. Overall, the room and bathroom was pretty gross. The pool area was even worse. It honestly didn't even look like the floor was regularly cleaned. It was also incredibly humid in there even though there wasn't a hot tub. I would NOT recommend staying here.

Shabby and worn. This hotel looks fine in the photos, but our room was a disappointment. We had a one bedroom suite (rm 607) and it was badly maintained. The drapes were torn, the carpet was torn, the headboard vinyl was peeling, the paint is chipping everywhere, the wallpaper at the ceiling is peeling and the A/C (which was not working) had the panel lying on the floor and the exposed filter inside filthy. I have never stayed in a room that was so clearly given a facelift, and that facelift has worn away. It makes the hotel feel dirty and unclean. Torn drapes can be taken down. Chipped paint can be touched up. The room screams neglect. The bed itself was comfortable, and the shower pressure was good - but that should be a baseline expectation, not the only good points.

In rough shape We stayed on a Friday night in a suite. The positives were: -The suite was spacious. -The woman working breakfast was really great. The negatives: -Being a weekend, the hotel had the usual large group of youth sports teams. There was zero soundproofing in our room so kids just having some fun became a headache after a while. Being right beside the highway, there was no blocking out the sound of noisy vehicles. -Only one elevator was working so the stairs got a lot of use. -They were doing renos or repairs to the outside of the hotel so there was debris everywhere. -The room itself showed a lot of wear and tear. There was water damage, peeling wallpaper, patched holes in the wall that had not been sanded or painted, and a really disgusting stain on the curtain that I can't believe was not seen and cleaned by housekeeping.

OMG This could possibly be THE WORST hotel I have ever stayed in. For Gawd sakes people...upgrade! Were you trying to match the hotel with the neighborhood? Decor is late 70's Taj Mahal until you get to the room which is marvelously late 70's Ron Jeremy porn chic, complete with a TV that doesn't work and voila! No room service available. The "dining room" and "bar" which shall remain nameless because it is nameless, is a room with some chairs. No appeal, no nothing. And it seems to close at 8PM so no late night cocktail for you! What do you expect from a hotel in the middle of the city that fun forgot? Perfect for weary business travellers who are half blind from staring at computer screens, old folks too frightened to leave their rooms (it is Mississauga), and families with kids who go to bed at 8:30. Man oh man...what was I thinking. Shout out to the staff who are lovely but the next time I want to go back to the 70's I will pull out my Saturday Night Fever album and dance baby! Yeah!
