Leonardo Royal Hotel Oxford

Awful experience Very uncomfortable bed in a tiny room with black mould on the ceiling of the bathroom and rust on the bath. The room overlooked a building site. If you arrive early they charge £20 even if the room itself is ready. We would never stay there again.

A great clean new room just out of Oxford A great size room just out of Summertown and Oxford. Short drive or bus ride into the city centre. It suited us perfectly as we were visiting our daughter in Summertown. Parking was 6 pound per 24 hours. Rooms were clean and spacious and looked relatively new. Room has amenities such as an iron and coffee machine. Would definitely stay here again if we were back.

Excellent all round service with incredible breakfast Very happy with a weekend stay. Very handy for Blenheim Palace visits and a walk around the beautiful Woodstock shops in awe at the arhcitecture. Superb reception team at the Hotel on the evening of May 10th 2025 (2 dark haired female members of staff went above and beyond). A Nice clean room with aircon, (very friendly cleaning team) absolute superb breakfast (best ever ) with a wealth of choice and cooked to perfection. We enjoyed a swim (small pool but nice and warm), sauna and steam in the wellness centre and Olly Siefers was superb - his customer service skills and happy demeanour were spot on. Thank you we will stay again.

Excellent stay with team Leonardo Oxford! Brilliant experience for one night weekend break to Oxford Room was excellent, lovely comfortable beds. Great shower with lovely fluffy towels and brilliant air on. Excellent quality array of teas and coffee in room. Cold water in fridge and a complimentary gin and tonic and soft drink with a hand and personally addressed welcome card from Menuja Breakfast was excellent also wide range and quality was excellent. Lovely professional greeting from Tony on Breakfast reception and cheery greeting and chat with chef George on hot plate. Used the sauna and steam room.... both great! Overall great experience and excellent value for money!! Thank you all the team Leonardo Oxford!

Great overnight stay breaking up a long journey We had an overnight stay here to break up a very long journey from the north east coast to Southampton. The location was good for this. For us it was a pre-cruise stay and we timed and distanced it just right - a journey right down to Southampton would have been far too long! This stay was perfect. The room was clean, tidy and the bed and pillows were comfortable. The bathroom was great - modern, clean and just everything you needed really so we had a very comfortable stay here and a good night's sleep. The breakfast was included in the room rate and it was fine meaning that we didn't have to stop at motorway services for the rest of the journey. It was a bit of a shame that the pool facilities were not open (we only received an email on this on the day of travelling down even though it said that repairs had long been scheduled for this when I complained - just a bit remiss that we didn't get much prior notice - an early swim would have been nice). We were given drinks vouchers to use for this but didn't have the time or opportunity to use them due to the short stay. All in all, we were very happy though with the clean and comfortable stay and the generally very professional welcome we received from front desk and breakfast facility staff. A good consideration for a pre-cruise stay if you are breaking up a long journey to Southampton. I will stay here again for any future visits to the Oxford/Oxfordshire area too.
