Family trip My family trip to the Placencia hotel was very much fun the whole experience was delightful. The property is beautiful the food is excellent the drinks and delicious and the pool was wonderful

Seems Shady Beware- I booked a stay for festive that I unfortunately had to cancel. I am well within the cancellation policy of free if 30 days prior to arrival. They charged my card in full and I have contacted them for almost 2 months via email, voicemail, social media regarding the status of my refund of almost $4k and no one responds. I talked to Maria on the phone but she gave me an email address that bounced. Still hoping to get this resolved with the GM but he hasn’t responded either.

Great stay! Beautiful setting, convenient to activities, amazing pool. Highly recommend! The front desk and adventure concierge are super helpful. The dining staff is top notch! We didn’t use the kayaks and paddle boards, but they are available. The iguana tree out front was a surprise and fun to see every time!

Basic but good accommodations Basic but good accommodations. Note that the doors separating you from neighbors offer zero soundproofing. We literally heard our neighbor clear his throat while he was in the shower (presumably). Communication was a bit of a challenge leading up to our visit though that could have been because of a change in ownership. I recommend coordinating your own excursions directly instead of going through the hotel. Fry Jack’s we’re delicious each morning with a latte. It was quiet and peaceful with early nights. The pool was large with a beautiful view.

Wonderful Visit! My BF and I stayed here for a week in April and it was amazing! The staff was friendly and helpful, you could communicate with them via WhatsApp chat which I thought was so convenient! If you need anything arranged they’ll do it! Rent a golf cart for you? Sure no problem! Have the fish you caught on your fishing charter cooked by the chef and delivered to your suite? Yes! That happened! We arranged all our excursions the day we got there and they were all amazing! The pool is gorgeous and the biggest in the country… and has a swim up bar. The grounds are beautiful! Lots of hummingbirds flying around. I definitely recommend!
