Resort isn’t black people friendly This resort is not black people friendly so don’t waste your time !! The crew & staff treated us terribly although they agreed to doing a job. The managers tried their best to fix the problem but the staff is grown at the end of the day. Nataneal and Neo are the names I remember & they treated my family and I like crap for no reason . Again this resort is not black people friendly so be aware, I will never travel anywhere without checking the reviews again.

perfect wedding in May We celebrated a wedding there in May. The hotel looks beautiful and the team organized a perfect wedding with Biely from the hotel from the wedding ceremony to the dinner overlooking the beach and the sea. I would recommend Paula and Biely as wedding planners and The Reef Coco Beach as a venue to anyone wanting to get married in Mexico

A Caribbean Jewel This is a real jewel of a small hotel, surrounded by Palms and lush scenery The powdery white sand stretches right up to the hotel Loungers, Beach umbrellas and Balinese day beds Staff in this hotel are the friendliest possible and they all persevere to ensure the guests have a wonderful holiday Food is amazing and there is a huge selection every mealtime including delicious European dishes ,Salads, Tropical fruits, Barbecue chickens and of course.....spicy Mexican mouth watering foods; they also offer an enormous selection of Sushi Rooms are all neat and serviced daily My only niggle was the loud Pop music played around the pools , the Jacuzzi and the outdoor dining area at several times daily I think the hotel should lower the volume of the music and even consider Jazz, Classical or even Mexican music Top marks to this very good small hotel

Very Disappointed Wry disappointed room wasn’t ready had to stay at a sister property with no compensation other than a room upgrade to a floor that didn’t have elevator access. Luggage was lost and not delivered to the room. Food was mediocre at best. Staff was very not very hospitable.

Best birthday vacation ever My daughter and myself arrived to The Reef Cocobeach on April 25 2025 , since we arrived to the resort all the staff were super friendly and made us welcomed , the room , food , the property and all the staff were excellent , what made my heart melt was on April 30 which was my birthday made it super special by decorating the room and sent an amenity to the room which was wonderful and thank you so much , if i ever go back to Playa del Carmen for sure i´ll stay at The Reef Cocobeach
