Worth every cent! My husband and I have been traveling to Costa Rica for over 20 years! We have seen so much of this beautiful country, and was so excited to stay at Makanda. This was our first ever experience at a 5 star adults only hotel...and it was worth every penny. We stayed in the honeymoon Junior suite with the private pool and bathtub. It was not only breathtakingly beautiful but was so private that we felt like we were the only ones there! The food was fantastic and drinks were refreshing and the perfect treat while at the pool. The staff was gracious, and attentive. Costa has some crazy weather...and while we were only at makanda for 24 hours it rained for almost 12 hours but the lighting show at the restaurant was pretty amazing. So even the wettest experience was still beautiful! We hope to be back in the near future as hotel Makanda holds a special place in our hearts.

The most magical place in Manuel Antonio My husband and I went at the end of July and returned home in August. We were there for one week. Everyone there was so helpful, welcoming, and kind. Makanda is truly a magical place and if we ever went back to that area of Costa Rica, we wouldn't stay anywhere else. It was so amazing and peaceful. I was very sad to leave luxury and have to come home to the real world.

Best in Manuel Antonio/Quepos Hotel Makanda is fantastic. The Ocean Suite is very nicely furnished with a great view of the rain forest and the Pacific. The two pools are awesome with great service for food or drinks. The food at the restaurant and bar is top notch and we were impressed with the overall service. The only challenge is that the walking to and from the room to the pool is very challenging. The connecting road and walkways are steep and can be very slippery. The hotel provides a golf cart to help with this but its still a bit of a challenge. It doesnt change the overall experience and we will actually be going back next weekend.

Perfect resort This resort is amazing. Excellent service, the staff were so lovely on reception and bayron on the golf carts was so helpful. The beach is stunning, rocky in parts but well worth the trip down. The hotel pools and balcony with a swinging cuddle chair was perfect. Also loved the happy hour cocktails, which were on point and the food was fantastic for breakfast, lunch and dinner Would definitely stay again

Luxury resort of breathtaking beauty and excellent service. This hotel is the definition of a luxury experience. It delivers on every category. The grounds are stunningly beautiful, nestled in the jungle. There is such attention to detail in the design, texture, and materials. The views from the pools are some of the most beautiful I have ever seen, breathtaking. Our room was incredibly comfortable and spacious. The staff is attentive and kind. Special thanks to Elias at the salt-water pool, who truly made our stay very special. I have nothing but positive comments regarding our entire experience. I highly recommend this beautiful resort, and we will certainly be returning here.
