Holiday Inn Express & Suites East Greenbush (Albany-Skyline) by IHG

Great hotel and friendly staff Stopped here as part of our USA road trip. Greated by friendly staff who have made a great effort decorating the hotel for July 4th, we particularly loved the gnomes!! Lovely room, comfy bed, plenty of space and clean bathroom with Dove products. Breakfast was good and plentiful, we would definitely stay here again!

Clean Clean Clean! I travel a lot, and stay at a lot of hotels. This was BY FAR one of the cleanest hotels I have ever stayed in, and that is saying a ton. I have become a bit of a hotel snob, but this past weekend hotels in Albany area were tight and EXPENSIVE due to the horse race and basketball tournament. The room was reasonably priced, and it was immaculate. The front desk staff was friendly and efficient at check-in as well. Highly recommend.

The Best HIExp we’ve stayed in This is THE BEST Holiday Inn Express we have stayed in. The location is convenient to downtown Albany without the downtown hassle. The staff were all friendly and attentive to our needs. The room was clean and updated. The exercise room was clean and well equipped. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

Bad experience I called to make a reservation and was told check in is at 4. I said since we were there for an evening wedding, is there a way to check in sooner since we have to travel to get there and then get ready for a wedding, the girl said yes and to call the night before to be sure. I called the night before and talked to a different lady and she confirmed that we could get into a room by 1pm. Great!! We drove 2 hours to get there by about 12:45 and I went in to let her know we were there and were promised a room for 1pm. The lady at the desk said no way, won't be ready until 3. WHAT?? She knew I wasn't happy and said they shouldn't have promised me that. Well...they did - but somehow found us a room. We get the the room which is to the left of the lobby on the first floor. The room is dated, dark, and the carpet is stained. The bathroom wasn't as clean as it should have been. Now it's 11:30pm that night, we're tired and ready to sleep and there are WILD parties going on all through the wing we were in well into the wee hours of the morning. Loud talking, laughter, doors slamming, people talking in the halls wandering room to room, bottles clanking. It was TERRIBLE! When we checked out I told the guy at the front desk about it and he said he wondered if the parties were going to be an issue. Really? How about DOING something about it?? I would never recommend this place.

Even Better Than Nine Years Ago I stayed here previously, the last time in 2014. I found myself passing through Albany and decided to stay here again based on a good experience 9 years ago. The location is good, just off I-90 but a bit of a detour if passing through on the thruway. There is shopping and restaurants a short drive away but nothing within walking distance. There seems to be adequate parking, the lobby is nice and check in was fast. The room was a nice surprise: must have been remodeled since my last visit. Large, modern, clean and everything worked. Bathroom was bright with a large walk in shower. Bed was very firm (which I like) and the hotel was very quiet. If back in Albany, I won't wait another 9 years to stay here
