Amazing owners and staff We had to evacuate our home due to wildfires and stayed at Roswell Rodeway Inn. The owners and the staff were amazing, always with a smile and a friendly word. The pool is amazing, clean and the temperature is perfect during the summer. The courtyard is clean and well kept. And even though the hotel was full it was quiet.

I got wrongfully charged $300 extra because of someone else’s ignorance and treated very poorly in the meantime. I arrived there right before they closed the lobby and checked in. The front desk lady left before I went to my room or I would have turned right back around and gotten my money back. There were short, approximately 1 inch long black hairs in between the sheets on both of the queen beds in my room along with much longer black hair all over the rest of the room and bathroom. The bath tub was disgusting and obviously had not even been wiped out let alone sanitized. The pillow cases and sheets were all wrinkled up and the comforters on the beds were not tidy, like they had been slept in and half made by the previous guest or something. The mirrors look like they had been fogged up and wiped with a towel, all smeared and gross yellow drips going down them. Since it was so gross let’s just go ahead and inform everyone that they have not moved the furniture and dusted, swept or anything behind any of the furniture in quite some time. There was a dirty bowl in the dresser and a used dryer sheet in the night stand. There were poop marks in the toilet the curtains wouldn’t shut all the way due to broken and missing pieces of which I moved a couple hooks from the middle to the end so they would kind off block the stadium like lights that shine in the windows at night. THERE WAS NO SOAP IN THE SHOWER! (Of which I got charged for a “missing soap dispenser- $150 charge not once but two times on my credit card! One of the $150 charges got put on my credit card the day before I even checked out! Obviously they were already planning to pin me with the missing dispenser- they must have missed it when it actually happened, otherwise why would I have gotten charged for it the day before I even checked out???? ) The “lady” also accused me of stealing and yes she used those words- stealing her towels! I am livid. I went to Walmart and purchased sheets and cleaning supplies to make my room tidy. I always stay at this establishment when I visit Roswell. The courtyard is beautiful and they do have smoking rooms. Normally my room is clean and comfortable and I feel safe there. THAT- is why I stayed, just in case the RUDE lady that hung up on me after accusing me of being a thief does happen to read her reviews and see this because she didn’t give me a chance to tell her why I stayed after asking me why I would stay if my room were dirty. SO- there you go. You should have given me a moment to tell you on the phone, considering that I checked out before you opened, instead of informing you like this. Now everyone can see it. I am embarrassed to have to have put this on the internet. I loved your little place there and have stayed with you many many times in the past. NEVER EVER AGAIN. I will not give my money to someone as inconsiderate as you were. Thanks for starting 2024 out reminding me how people just really are all about themselves and don’t take time for others. Five minutes of your time would have kept me from posting this for the world to see. I could have and would have looked past the filth, cleaned it like I did and never said a word because I do, first hand know what it is like to work the holidays in the hotel industry. People get tired and make mistakes and are usually over worked and under paid- Ps. FYI -Gabriella, the young lady that checked me in when I arrive and also had tried to help me on the phone earlier in the day was wonderful! She was pleasant, patient, well spoken, and very helpful with my reservation. Maybe someone should give her a raise and the other lady’s job. She has the customer service thing down. Thank you young lady for making part of my stay there pleasant. Anyway, I sincerely hope that everyone has a great day and a happy New Year!

2night stay, friendly staff. Friendly and helpful staff. We had trouble with our key card and the handy man came right over and fixed it in 5 minutes! Dog friendly and quiet rooms. Mini fridge in the room. Lobby even decorated for Halloween, my favorite holiday!

Like an ol' bangin' Route 66 establishment that lost its luster. We visit Roswell often. We choose Roadside as we have not been before and enjoy trying new places. This hotel has A LOT of potential, but sadly it's not a hotel we would return to unless they advertise new management or a full remodel. The hotel lobby is more impressive than I thought. Back in the hotels early days I can see this place being fancy and a popular place to stay and entertain. The dual staircases would be great for weddings and parties. But looks like those days are behind it as the hotels management has not kept up with updates/upgrades or swap to modern decor. Even so the hotel was clean enough. The night attendant on 03 March was so sweet and polite. We stayed in room 110. I liked the charming aspect of a vintage antique side board in the room. We had a working mini fridge and a banging working heater that ran too hot most the night. The bed was soft and comfortable, and came with a coveted 4 pillows each! The TV was a smart TV and we watched our own Netflix account on it. Our bathroom was clean with working hot water. The bathroom also provided soap, shampoo and conditioner, an extra toilet paper and Kleenex. -which are all great amenities for hotels to provide. But there were several downsides. First off we booked through a third provider. The provider showed a price breakdown, with disclaimer the hotel might have other fees. ----- -Arriving at the hotel the cost was more than our booking. Our itinerary showed the 3rd providers cost, fees, and taxes. The hotel said the extra cost was from the third party provider, but there fees were already accounted for. The extra cost was only an $11 difference, the manager said there was nothing they could do -claiming the extra cost was from the other company. And I'm not going to be room-less or have them refuse a refund over $11. ( I also think the manager knows this and won't budge with good customer support). -Going to the room our card Key would not work. The attendant got it opened but realized its a problem with the door lock, and the dead bolt also does not engage correctly. -The hotel room has two entry doors one court side and one on the outside. The out facing door you would normally enter through from the parking lot is left with the security latch, so you must walk all the way around into the court yard to access it. If the room is empty of a guest it seems like the hotel should live the latch disengaged to allow guest better access to the room from the parking lot with our luggage. -The hotel lacks any for of window looking into the parking lot. It might help with road noise, but we did not like not being able to see our vehicle. -We were put in an adjoining room without notice. -The hotel is literally empty of guests. But the few people who book are all cluttered together in adjacent rooms. This made for a lot of noise in an otherwise empty hotel. The adjoining room we were in added to the noise. The guest next to us is a long term guest and he had a horrible congestive cough --- like deathbed hospice type coughing. Like wicked witch of the west cackling laugh coughing! We were fearful we were hearing this poor soul dieing in the room next to us. And in our multiple night stay he kept us awake as his coughing spasms would happen around 9pm, midnight, and 0400. This was scary and just left an awkward scene to us and made for a restless nervous night. Why the hotel does not purposely book guests in rooms away from each other is odd to me. -Unless they've only update these few rooms cluttered together and now only use them to book people in? -One of our walls was dirty with what looked like soda had once sprayed on it, but everything else was clean. -The hotel is off of the main city, but for the lower cost I did not mind -but beware that cost savings for staying off the path shrank with the hotel adding some extra $11.00. It looked like at one time there was a restaurant or venue inside, but was not informed about it, or told of any breakfast. This hotel is close to being something neat.. But some TLC, updating, and better advertising is need.

Caution ⚠️ Room was dirty & smelled / Old & outdated I checked in here & when I walked in my room the bed looks as if someone was laying in it & when I tell you the room smelled terrible like something was stale. _ Also when I went into the bathroom there was trash in the tub & all over the floor. I told the guy at the front desk & he replied that he couldn’t switch my room without talking to her first. So he then told me that his boss/owner (Cindy) said there’s a difference in making money & making a customer happy…. So he called her & she told me there’s nothing she can do for me cause she’s not there, so I asked for an refund & she refused that as well… So she refused to change my dirty room & refused my refund! I will never go back to this disgusting _ place!
