Not up to standards The room was not as clean, nor maintained, as well as it should have been. The floors were dusty, dust bunnies and other debris along the baseboards and corners in various areas of the room, door did not fully seal, bathtub faucet dripped nonstop, pieces of hair in the tub, on the floor counters in the bathroom, trash under the vanity, old ice cream in freezer, bed frames look like a beaver gnawed them, sounds of our neighbors water running was insanely loud, bathroom fan so loud I couldn't stand bring in the bathroom, and finally the pool felt slimy. I've stayed here many times and never had so many issues. I feel that the price is not worth the accommodations. Plus, no breakfast included. We did buy breakfast and it was way over priced for the quality of the product. I'm not saying I'll never stay again but if I do it'll be as a last resort. I'm from Taos and visit there often. I would love to have a clean comfortable hotel to stay in. Oh and I didn't mention that the key cards didn't work very well. I didn't report all of this because it was a holiday week and we figured we probably wouldn't find another place on short notice.

The weakest Hilton property in New Mexico. 1. No modern credit machine - just processing # and expiration code (weird) 2. Non working alarm clock went off at 4:30 am. Had to take apart to stop. 3. Remodel but left non-working heat lamp in bathroom with the loudest fan. 4. TV didn’t work.

People who work in hospitality should understand what that means The room and bed were very comfortable. The front desk attendant that greeted us when we arrived early on Friday (the park lot was empty)was not accommodating when we asked for an early checkin for the ADA room that we requested. She stated that checkin was at 4pm. I worked in the hotel industry for 40 years before retiring earlier this year and I know the business very well and she certainly could have been more accommodating had she chosen to do so. Also the ice machine was not working across from my room and when I phoned to inquire, I was told that all of the machine were out of order and I would have to go to the front desk to get ice. Once at the desk I waited in line while others were trying to check in. Once I approached the desk, I was told that I would have to get the ice from the bar. Unfortunately the bartender/waitress was busy so I had to wait even longer for the ice. When I went back to the desk to purchase a juice another Front Desk attendant apologized to me for all of the inconveniences that I had encountered since my arrival…she was very kind.

The Place to Stay in Taos This is a very cool hotel - and I really wanted to give it 5 stars (more about why I didn’t in a moment). It’s set up like several small motels, with a central dining/pool area. The rooms are quite spacious and quiet, and the beds are comfortable. The hotel really shines with the breakfast offerings - we wanted to have literally everything on the menu. Everything. But we were only there for 5 days. And the ambience of the dining area is wonderful. The location is good - it’s close to everything in Taos. However, there were a couple of small negatives. (1) The ice machine was broken, so you had to go to the central bar to get ice. (2) The lone treadmill in the fitness center was broken the entire time, and running in 90+ temperatures outside wasn’t a lot of fun. Aside from those minor dings, the hotel was great. We would stay there again without hesitation.
