Not my favorite Hyatt Sadly the hotel is falling into disrepair and needs to be “modernized” and upgraded to the Hyatt Regency Hotel international standard. The time being ordering a meal and receiving it is a bit long. The internet service is not 100% reliable and the TV channel selection is limited especially for foreign non Spanish hotel guests. Another issue is all of the room TVs are locking in a Zoom view so one can not see the normal screen sized picture

Pleasant experience Although only a short stay, everything was good, which is what I expected. The staff were friendly enough and the level of service was exactly what I would have imagined from a major hotel chain. I would not hesitate to recommend the hotel to others

Very poor hotel Food extremes expensive and menu items never the same twice, seems to change with chef/cook. Very rude member of staff, Susana, a supervisor who laughed when challenged over meal bill. Rooms kept clean but a/c was very damp so hanging clothes always felt damp. Avoid if possible.

Business trip This was my third trip to this hotel and it was as expected. Meal options are limited for vegetarians and there was no white wine available for the entire week. The staff were very helpful though and I’ve nothing but compliments to make about them.

Avoid the Hyatt Villahermosa Average hotel at best, the website stated the rooms had been refurbished recently, but it seemed like “recently” was 1990. Do not assume you are booking a normal Hyatt hotel, this is NOT at that level. If ordering food by the pool, ensure you are not charged the restaurant prices “by mistake”. Breakfast buffet is a rip off, far better to order off the menu, or eat breakfast somewhere else. Some of the staff are amazing, Victoria in the restaurant stands out as a great ambassador for Hyatt, helpful and very attentive to the many tables she managed. The team looking after the rooms and bed changes are great, very thorough and caring. Marriott or Quentin Eden are far better options. Room
