There’s not too much elevation change, there are no large hills or obstacles, and most of the trail is amongst beautiful wooded scenery perfect for those hot days that usually make hiking unbearable. Along the way, your ears will be treated to birdsong and trickling water in a nearby creek. Our members enjoy pointing out the best scenery to capture with a camera, should you bring one along. You’ll also catch glimpses of surrounding mountains through the trees. Once you reach the falls, the mist coming off the water will cool you off! Join an experienced naturalist guide to track, study and photograph the abundant wintering wildlife and wolves found on the Northern Range of Yellowstone National Park. This winter wildlife safari will focus on finding and safely viewing Greater Yellowstone’s wintering wildlife, including the predators and big game of the region. Throughout the safari there is a chance to view and photograph wolves, coyote, fox, bald eagles, golden eagles, elk, bison, bighorn sheep, mule deer, pronghorn and mountain goats while learning about the geology, history and ecology of the Greater Yellowstone area.
