Before man learned to ride horses, Western films ended with cowboys jogging into the sunset. Saddle up with this Groupon.

Choose from Three Options

  • $42 for a horseback trail ride for one (an $85 value)
  • $75 for a horseback trail ride for two (a $150 value)
  • $99 for a horseback trail ride for three (a $200 value)

Before hitting the trail, head-guide Melissa dispenses riding instructions and pairs riders with horses outfitted with all the necessary riding gear. Then, she takes riders on a one-hour trail ride through an equestrian ranch community, weaving around neighborhoods and horse parks. The ride finishes at the stables, where riders can mingle with their steeds and help hose them down if they’d like.

M&M Stables

As a child, M&M Stables' head trainer, instructor, and guide, Melissa loved strolling down woodland trails on the back of a horse. A rider and competitor since the age of six, Melissa’s passion for horses now fuels her career at M&M Stables. Today, she can be found in the saddle training others how to care for and ride horses for fun or during competitions. She also leads trail rides throughout the surrounding equestrian community, giving clients a way to explore neighborhoods atop something other than a bike or a pilfered riding mower.

The Groupon Guide to: Animal Defense Mechanisms

In the wild, animals must protect themselves so they can survive long enough to one day willingly supply humans with their nutritious bodies. Here's how some creatures manage to stay alive:

Pig: Emits a strong, unpleasant odor that smells like burned bacon that was also maybe dropped on the floor once or twice

Cow: Skin becomes translucent in order to display the animal's delicious-looking insides and lure its attacker closer. Once the attacker is near, the cow hopes it will realize how pitiful and defenseless cows really are and then just leave it alone.

Chicken: Throws up a bunch

Dogs: Spend years—years—pretending they give a single guff what you have to say

Hamster: Balls itself up to look like a disgusting, hairy corn dog

Why are chickens always throwing up? Find out in today's Groupon Guide.
