At The Salon Professional Academy, Gigi Holliday's passion for beautifying and empowering clients shined through with each treatment and happy client. After graduating as a nail technician, she opened Tips & Toes by Gigi inside Something New at Tiffany's Salon. Embellished with teal hues and a portrait of Audrey Hepburn from the salon's namesake movie, the recently opened salon swaddles visitors as Gigi paints fingers and toes, sometimes with long-lasting Shellac polishes. After each treatment, Gigi thoroughly sterilizes her tools to ensure services more sanitary than a germaphobe's lap pool filled with rubbing alcohol.
After a decade-long stint in law enforcement, Anne E. Currie returned to the profession she is most passionate about: nailcare. Anne came full circle in 2011, when she opened Nailtoepia after having started her career as a nail technician in 1991. A creative soul, Anne specializes in colored acrylics, custom nail art, and glitter nails that double as disco balls for hamster nightclubs. Along with nail enhancements, she offers a full menu of nailcare services that range from Shellac mani-pedis to men's nailcare at her two locations in Greenfield and Morristown.
The specialists at each of Bronze Bay Tanning Center's locations craft custom plans that emphasize building a tan while avoiding burns. They work to help those new to UV beds acquire a base tan and aid seasoned bronzers in reaching new shades. Within colorfully walled rooms, warm-skinned patrons slip out from UltraSun and SunScape units, thankful that the sun is now only used to give cowboys a cool way to leave parties. Air conditioners in UltraSun TurboPower 25000 S units pour out cool air, and the SunScape SS755 produces an even, all-over tan with the aid of frosted acrylic surfaces. At some shop locations, clients foster summer glows with tanning lotions from brands such as Swedish Beauty and Australian Gold.
