Gingerbread Enchantment Event - Benefiting Meals on Wheels on December 1st, 2017, Albuquerque

Gingerbread originates from medieval China when bakers used ginger to preserve baked goods. Today, we use this spicy-sweet treat to construct elaborate winter scenes. Gingerbread Enchantment is a hub for these sugary creations, welcoming people of all ages to Albuquerque Balloon Fiesta Park to build or buy a gingerbread house.

During the entertaining Family Night, guests vote on the best gingerbread house—choosing who goes home with a People’s Choice Award—then bid on their favorite creations during a silent auction. Participants enjoy dinner from Dion’s, get creative at a cookie decorating station, and take pictures with Santa. Guests can also get that warm, fuzzy feeling that comes with helping those in need: all proceeds benefit Meals on Wheels of Albuquerque.
