About Us In 1955 Robert Schierer, Elmer Schierer, and Frank Popp opened Schierer and Popp Jewelers in Chicago where they repaired and serviced thousands of timepieces for Chicagoland’s department and jewelry stores. In the 1970’s Robert Schierer hired 20 year old Lorenzo Calderon, who had developed the talent for watchmaking from his father and brother. He later managed Schierer and Popp Jewelers with his wife Donna Schierer for over 30 years. Following this passion for watchmaking, Lorenzo and Donna’s son Robert Calderon completed formal training with Rolex at their Lititz Watch Technicum in Pennsylvania, graduating in 2012 with WOSTEP (Watchmakers of Switzerland Training and Education Program) and AWCI (American Watchmakers-Clockmakers Institute) certifications. Later Robert Calderon would complete additional training in Switzerland and the United States with brands like Rolex, Breitling, Tag Heuer, Omega, and Swatch group. Today the tradition continues here in St. Thomas with On Time Watch Repair, established in 2015 by Robert Calderon. For three generations the Schierers and Calderons have served their local communities. We look forward to many more great years doing what we love. Our family appreciates your support.
