In the few years since she took over as the head coach of the Houston Cougars softball team, Kristin Vesely has produced more than 20 All-Conference players—including a couple Conference USA players of the year. When she's not busy molding some of college softball's biggest stars, coach Vesely imparts her wisdom on the next generation of ballplayers during UH's camps.
At the university's softball camps, for instance, the coaches use drills to help campers develop into well-rounded athletes. Camps focus on the physical development and growth of each player regardless of age and skill level. They are also designed to improve each camper's mental approach to the game. What's more, camps unfold at UH throughout the year, with new sessions added often and each session geared specifically to the campers' level of play.
