Body Arts Pilates
Gigi Houghton Quan describes herself as Body Arts Pilates' teacher, owner, and Pilates and movement enthusiast. She certainly evangelizes for her favorite workout enthusiastically. "Pilates feels good and teaches clients posture, [but] this is not the workout––your life is," she says. "Your muscles need to hold your body in correct alignment always. When your muscles work that way, you go through your day toning and working your body out all day long."
She aims to gift her clients with that all-day workout through hour-long classes held six days a week. In her lessons, she makes use of Pilates' signature workout machine, the Reformer, which deepens core engagement by adding an element of resistance training into the traditionally floor-based exercises.
