Com Dunwoody Vietnamese Grill Fusion
The food at Com Dunwoody basically sets the bar for Vietnamese cuisine in Atlanta. Between its Editors' Picks and its Readers' Choice awards, Creative Loafing has named Com "Best Vietnamese" 9 times in the past 10 years. It's hardly surprising considering the inventive fusion dishes served here. Lamb bourguignon is a specialty, though this version of the French-style stew is served with egg noodles, a baguette, or jasmine rice instead of the traditional bed of french fries. Vietnamese crepes can be stuffed with anything from tofu to tilapia, and ginger chicken is served in a clay pot with broccoli and jasmine rice. The cocktails exhibit a similarly worldly vibe, with concoctions such as an Indochine tonic with ginger vodka and cognac.
