About CrossFit 617
Packy McDonagh wasn't always impressed by CrossFit. During a senior-year internship in his college's weight room, he adopted the other trainers' disdain for the regimen as a proper strength and conditioning program. That attitude changed once Packy attended his first CrossFit workout and personally experienced the challenge of performing functional movements with purpose and intensity. He convinced his friend Stephen Doyle to help him open CrossFit 617, fully committing himself as the facility's head coach. Joined by equally passionate trainers, Packy and Stephen lead full-body workouts that encourage students of all fitness levels to safely yet steadily break personal barriers. Workouts may incorporate kettlebells, free weights, rowing machines, or medicine balls, though attendees can tailor the load and intensity as they see fit.
