Trainers and fellow classmates of all skill levels impel boot-camp attendees to push themselves through strenuous kettlebell exercises, medicine ball movements, and tests of cardiovascular endurance. In addition to directing all the hard work, the trainers offer guidance on proper technique and nutrition to help students meet their fitness goals. Boot-camp sessions take place Monday through Thursday at 5 a.m., 10 a.m., and 6:30 p.m., as well as on Friday at 5 a.m. and 10 a.m.
CrossFit Northern Kentucky
CrossFit doesn't just work out a one muscle per day, but every muscle. The program's foundation is Workout of the Day, which comprises a different blend of strength and cardio drills in each class. These sessions target new muscle groups and prevent workout-routine boredom. After an exercise review and a warm-up, students adapt the functional movements—which may include Olympic weightlifting, sprints, and medicine-ball tossing—appropriately to their fitness level.
