After several years as a clinical chemist, Richard Amstadter decided he would rather treat patients than work in a lab. So he enrolled at the University of San Francisco School of Dentistry, the first stop on a path that culminated in his own Modesto practice. His services—personalized for every patient—range from routine dental-hygiene checkups to fitting mouths with crowns, veneers, and Invisalign braces. To ensure comfort every step of the way, he relies on tools such as digital X-ray machines and CAD/CAM technology, which swiftly manufactures crowns so patients needn’t schedule multiple visits or erect a campsite in the waiting room.
