About Empirical Brewery
They're all a bunch of nerds. Empirical is named after their process: the use of empirical observations to improve the beer. The brewers test new recipes on a custom 1-barrel pilot system on a regular basis with two goals in mind: explore new styles, or refine previously created recipes. This brewery is a laboratory, and the owners often collect feedback from customers on experimental recipes. The staff loves nerding out about anything the clients are nerdy about and serving them delicious beer.
Here are a few other ways Empirical Brewing sets itself apart:
Its Taproom: Here, the brewery introduces visitors to its year-round, seasonal, and experimental concoctions, and performs regular firkin tappings. Kegs and growlers are available to take home, and patrons can bring in their own food, have it delivered there, or pick it up from a food truck outside. They're also dog-friendly!
Its Cats: After pests kept getting to the brewery's grain—and after traditional rodent control failed—Empirical adopted four feral cats through the Tree House Humane Society's Cats at Work program. Now, Venkman, Ray, and Egon enjoy a home, food, and litter in exchange for their top-notch pest surveillance.
