What You’ll Do
For five hours on Saturday, August 23, the city becomes your literal playground. Teams of two mount their bikes and weave through neighborhood streets, encountering scavenger hunt puzzles and other challenges. The event ends in an after party, with drinks and prizes to celebrate the day’s efforts, which benefit Alive Rescue’s mission to rescue animals throughout Chicagoland.
Teams bike between different tasks, such as puzzles and traversing the Chicago River by kayak. Total biking distance is approximately 15 miles.
After Party Celebration
The scavenger hunt ends in a party with drinks and food, including vegan and veggie options. Prizes will be awarded to top finishers and the team with the best outfits.
What to Bring
Participants should bring bikes (Divvy coupons are also available), helmets, cameras, and bicycle locks. Check here for additional info.
Animal Rescue Organization
The animal lovers at Alive Rescue have a heavy, furry weight on their shoulders: the responsibility to help animals across Chicagoland. They take in cats, dogs, and other pets; give them care; and help them find new homes. Alive Rescue also cares for animals that other organizations tend to overlook, including older pets and less popular breeds.
