What You’ll Do
There’s a reason why Italian cuisine is so popular. Characterized by fresh herbs, rich sauces, and an even richer history, Italian dishes can serve as both dependable crowd-pleasers and staples of romantic evenings. During this 90-minute workshop, Chef Bibi Kasrai guides you as you cook Mediterranean favorites from scratch, including a red sauce that’s distinguished from store-bought marinara sauces.
Learn Fresh Flavors
Guests will cook an authentic Italian cuisine by starting with a Tuscan salad, a turkey bolognese entree, and a dessert of decadent tiramisu.
Eat Your Work
After preparing your meal, you’ll enjoy the results while chatting with your fellow students.
Sip and Savor
Feel free to bring your favorite wine—there’s no corkage fee.
Explore the Neighborhood
After the class, you can walk down Girard Avenue to browse boutiques or watch the sunset.
Owner, Harvard Cookin’ Girl
For Bibi Kasrai, trading her corporate career for a career in cooking was an easy decision, especially considering the pivotal role food has always played in her life. She details her relationship with cooking in her memoir-slash-cookbook The Spice Whisperer, as well as in a feature in The Guardian. Californians can receive culinary instruction from Bibi herself, who founded Harvard Cookin’ Girl to teach visitors how to prepare the cuisines of Japan, Ethiopia, France, Italy, Spain, and myriad other regions.
