What You'll Do
Explore the life-sustaining waters of the Trinity River by moonlight during a kayaking excursion alongside master environmental educator Jenna Hanson. The event kicks off at the Trinity River Audubon Center, where you’ll gear up and learn the basics of kayaking before starting your paddle downstream. With Jenna at the helm, you’ll learn about the fascinating history of this drinkable waterway and its surrounding environment, perhaps even greeting some owls, bobcats, or beavers along the way.

Armed with a master’s of education in natural sciences and more than 10 years of experience, Jenna Hanson is the ideal guide to the waterways
The experience lasts two hours. Each event is capped at 10 participants; each event requires a minimum of 6 participants in order to take place
Whether it’s zoos, aquariums, nature centers, or universities, Jenna Hanson knows how to lead environmental education programming for mammals of all ages. Fueled by her belief that everyone has the right to access nature, Jenna earned her master’s in natural sciences and environmental education and has more than 10 years of experience in the field. Jenna’s been a lifelong lover of the outdoors, but her talents shine when leading place-based learning experiences, ultimately helping others connect with the natural world that’s just outside their front door.
Where You'll Meet
Groups meet at the Trinity River Audubon Center before slipping into kayaks and cruising downstream for a moonlit tour rich with wildlife, scenic sights, and natural history.
