Without music, concerts wouldn't exist and "funk" would just be the smell emanating from an old sock filled with corn. Lend an ear to this GrouponLive deal.

A pianist, composer, and educator, David Cutler is as comfortable with classical and jazz music as he is with prog rock and rock rock. Bassist Craig Butterfield and drummer Marc Widenhofer join him to comprise Project Piñata, and together the trio cracks open musical styles to discover the new delights they offer, although they don't like the lemon-flavored ones either. Violinist Erika Cutler lends her bow to the evening, which includes Cutler's original works and innovative takes on existing pieces.
Chamber Music Pittsburgh
In 1961 the Pittsburgh chamber-music scene was in need of some refreshing. So, in an effort to meet fellow fans, strengthen their community, and celebrate their favorite genre, a group of music lovers founded Chamber Music Pittsburgh. The group imports acclaimed musicians and vine-ripened cellos from around the world, connecting performers such as the Juilliard Quartet and the Guarneri Quartet to audiences in the grand Carnegie Music Hall. Chamber Music Pittsburgh's educational programs, meanwhile, ensure a bright future for classical music by inspiring and instructing elementary and high-school musicians.
