- History: The Sunset Film Festival prides itself on seeking out hidden gems from independent filmmakers, which can often get overlooked at bigger fests. Since 2012, the festival has been giving audiences the chance to see these fresh, visionary works on a big screen.
- Notable categories: The two-day fest will see films competing in 13 different categories, including animation and short documentary.
- The producer: Filmmaker Mark Mos heads the annual event, relying on experience gleaned from organizing premieres for Gladiator and Mission Impossible 2, among others.
