Texas Legends Tour
- Bun B: You could say there are two parts to Bun B. The first is Bun B the rapper, who was one half of southern rap duo UGK and the performer behind the four-part Trill saga. The other part is known to the students of Rice University as Bernard Freeman, the dope guest lecturer of Religious Studies 331: Religion and Hip-Hop Culture.
- Slim Thug: This Houston-based MC’s booming voice first made an impact on the 2004 platinum-certified Mike Jones hit “Still Tippin’,” building anticipation for his emphatic debut, 2005’s Already Platinum. Since then, he’s added 10 more albums to his discography, including 2019’s Suga Daddy Slim: On tha Prowl.
- Z Ro: Named “one of America’s most underrated rappers” by The New York Times in 2007, this Houston rapper made a name for himself in the underground with critically acclaim albums such as The Life of Joseph W. McVey (2004) and I’m Still Livin’ (2006).
