About This Deal
The Issue: Foster Care for Pets Eases Shelter Overpopulation
Although animal shelters can provide a safe environment for cats and dogs, certain circumstances require that the animals receive special care before they can be adopted. Temporary foster care helps prevent overcrowding in shelters, and foster parents can care for kittens or puppies that are too young to be spayed or neutered, animals nursing a litter, and cats or dogs that are being treated for illness or injuries.
The Campaign: Help Prepare Foster Dogs for Adoption
If this Grassroots campaign raises $350, then Motley Zoo Animal Rescue can supply 25 dogs with hand-designed tote bags filled with a leash, collar, ID tags, and the dog's medical records and adoption materials. All supplies reside in convenient and eye-catching tote bags that work to streamline the adoption process and draw attention to the organization, with the hope that it will spark other people's interest in fostering or adopting a pet. Each additional $14 raised will be used to provide a tote bag full of supplies for another dog.
You can follow the progress of this and other Grassroots campaigns at the Groupon Grassroots website.

About Motley Zoo Animal Rescue
Motley Zoo Animal Rescue works to end pet overpopulation and the resulting deaths by euthanasia of healthy, adoptable pets by placing rescued cats and dogs with foster families until they are adopted. By adding the step of fostering to the adoption process, Motley Zoo reduces overcrowding in shelters and aids in each dog's transition to a new, permanent family. To help ensure health and prepare animals for new homes, Motley Zoo provides necessary veterinary care, such as spaying or neutering procedures. Motley Zoo also pairs pups with basic-care necessities and medical records, which follow them through the foster process and later go to the dog's new owners.
