About Kathryn Conover Couture
Kathryn Conover’s first big fashion hit was a new twist on the little black dress—but today, she’s mostly making white ones. As she and her team create custom gowns for each of their brides, she draws on more than two decades of spent designing her own collections for department store titans ranging from Bergdorf Goodman and Saks Fifth Avenue to Neiman Marcus and London's Harvey Nichols, and working with notable brands including Liz Claiborne and Perry Ellis.
She designs each look to suit the style and personality of the bride, coming up with gowns that range from ethereal and classic to modern and dramatic, such as a deep green dress similar to Keira Knightley’s in Atonement. Though Kathryn loves edging into uncharted fashion territory, she’s always focused on her clients’ natural beauty and finding ways to highlight, rather than distract, from it. In addition to dresses, she and her team also craft veils, headpieces, tinfoil hats, and other accessories to complete the bridal look.
