The positive and win to this purchase was the kiddos (teenagers)had a great time. Kids would give it a four star when asked! Staff was polite. The negative was that we came in from out of state, called ahead to arrive within 20 minutes of call to ensure enough bikes would be available. Two of us purchased this and only able to use one as they ran out of bikes. Kids used the last 4. Inquired about other activities, but not available. They offered the extension of coupon until September, but again being from out of state, will be a loss of purchase. Hope we get back to Kentucky before September!

The cavern itself was very cool and my husband and kids had a blast. It's very expensive to rent bikes and they are in poor condition. That being said it's very hard to judge with children how they will do on certain bikes out on the course.( I would say 8 and up to be able to ride the course) My daughter was having problems with size and the bike seat on the course and we were given a hard time exchanging bikes. I would recommend bringing your own bikes if you are able and save the 25.00 per person (which was 100 for us) rental. ( We flew on vacation so did not have the option of bringing our own) It was 160.00 for the course and rental for family of 4 and we stayed about 2 hours.

Long lines, would not take expired Groupon and definitely a display for kids. Once you’ve seen it, no need to go again. Personally, I prefer driving through neighborhoods with lights.

About Louisville Mega Cavern

The newest attraction at Louisville Mega Cavern, Mega Underground Bike Park just opened in February 2015 in addition to Mega Quest, opened in Fall 2013 and claims to be the only underground ropes challenge course in the world. The Mega Cavern, originally a limestone mine, was mined for 42 years, beginning in the 1930s, and is now the largest building in the state of Kentucky. The cavernous facility utilizes its 90-foot-high thoroughfares to unite guests with an exhilaration previously known only to highly caffeinated miners—Mega Zips.......ziplining in a cavern. Customers can purchase separate tickets for a variety of attractions. Open daily throughout the year. The Lights Under Louisville show running during the Christmas season, the Mega Tram, which runs beginning in mid-January through early October. During Mega Zips tours of up to two hours, amateur spelunkers will stream across the subterranean's six underground ziplines and dual racing lines under the sage supervision of the cavern's ACCT-certified experts. Along the way, guides will entertain guests with tales of the cavern’s rich history and uncanny impressions of stalagmites.
