Dining out with friends can foster healthy relationships that might otherwise be limited to impersonal group texts or overly personal bath-time visits. Get a bite in person with a person with today’s Groupon to Main Street Cafe. Choose between the following options:

  • For $8, you get lunch and drinks for two (up to a $19 total value), which includes the following:
  • Two salads or sandwiches (up to a $6.50 value each)
  • Two sodas, beers, or mixed drinks (up to a $3 value each)

  • For $10, you get a five-drink punch card for mixed drinks and beer, which may be used across visits (up to a $30 value).

For more than 15 years, Main Street Cafe has consistently improved patrons’ days with a menu of hefty sandwiches, fresh salads, and icy bar beverages. Guests can spur on impromptu eating contests with the cuban sandwich piled with shaved pork loin, ham, and swiss cheese on grilled french bread, or the pulled-rotisserie-chicken sandwich with sautéed onions and garlic aioli on focaccia. A romaine lettuce steak salad heaped with slices of prime rib, blue cheese, tomato wedges, and croutons tackles omnivorous appetites more effectively than a linebacker dressed as Carmen Miranda. Imbibers can order beers such as Budweiser (up to $3) and Miller Light (up to $3) from Main Street’s drink menu, or toast to Thanksgiving dinners that fly through school zones on their motorcycles with shots of Wild Turkey (up to $3). Main Street Café’s kitchen closes for weekends; the bar remains open on Saturdays, but closes on Sundays.

You are kind of a best kept secret for lunch in Lincoln. We had one of the best Spinach Salads at a very reasonable price. The salad had very fresh spinach and was probably the best I have had in Lincoln. We met for conversation and Main Street provided a quiet dining experience.
